Copper jewellery is stunning — but like all natural materials, it needs a little love to keep it glowing. Over time, copper can darken or develop a greenish patina. While some people love that rustic look, others prefer to keep their pieces bright.
To clean your copper:
- Mix lemon juice and baking soda into a paste, gently rub with a soft cloth, then rinse and dry.
- You can also use ketchup (yes, really!) for a quick polish.
- Store copper pieces in a dry place — ideally in a cloth bag — to slow oxidation.
If your bracelet or pendant is coated or sealed, you may not see much patina at all. Either way, taking care of your copper helps it age gracefully — just like you.
